Cute中文详解

Cute是最早“acute”一词的缩写,意思是“机灵的、聪慧的”。到了十九世纪,美国的男生用这个词形容某个人很有魅力,但主要用在身材娇小,看上去比较“弱小”的对象上。

在法语中Mignon是“可爱、娇小”的意思,也是英语minion的词源。日语里的“卡哇伊”也是“可爱的”意思,但这个词在十一世纪刚开始使用的时候是“可怜的”意思。

而现在的“可爱”也包含着需要被关心、呵护、宠爱的概念。

Cute这个词在美国口语中含有强烈的感彩,同性之间经常使用,但更多是是形容异性。比如一个男生对另个男生说某个女生很cute,他的意思其实是夸那个女生好看,对她有好感。

但是在有些情况下,cute也不总是被用来夸人的。“She’s cute.”也可表示“那个女生很平凡”,没什么特别的,于是就用了cute形容。

怎样表达一个人“很可爱”
