require和request有什么不一样?英语中的 require 和 request 都有“要求”的意思,但是它们的用法有一定的区别。
1、词性不同。1).require:只能做动词,表示需要;要求;想要;命令。
We are required to finish the work before 10 am.我们要求在上午十点之前完成工作。
2).request: 既可以做名词,也可以做动词。做名词表示“要求;需要;所请求的事物;申请书”。做动词表示“请求,索取;邀请”的意思.
I requested him to help. 我请求他帮忙。

2、作为要求的意思来讲,二者的强调点不同。1).require 侧重表达上级对下级、强者对弱者的要求。强调根据事业、需要或纪律、法律以及其他客观情况等而提出的要求,命令和规定。指客观需要,含缺此不可之意。
比如法律条款对当事人的要求,业主对雇员的要求。

解析:require在这里就含有一定的命令或强制性质。
2) .request 这个词侧重表示“请求”。指通过正式手续提出的要求,口气和缓,态度礼貌。多用于下级对上级、弱者对强者的请求,也常用于通告中。

解析:Request在这里表示“恳求,请求”的意思。强调非常正式,有礼貌地请求或恳求,有时含有担心因种种原因对方不能答应的意味。这就是两者的最重要的区别。
3、语法上的使用有所不同。require和request都可以接宾语 + to +动词原形,但require + 动名词时,主动形式的动名词具有被动意义,而 request无此种用法。另外require在表示要求,规定时多用于被动语态。
